James Hunter returns to Bimbo’s 365 Club on July 13th

Four years ago, the sold-out audience at Bimbo’s 365 Club was shaking up the dance floor when James Hunter and his skin-tight band played their first show at the club. If you missed it, you will not want to miss his return to our stage next month.
It may have taken James Hunter 20 years to receive his due, but it’s not without having tons of fuel to keep his fires burning. The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter/guitarist’s first Stateside release came after two decades of performing and recording in his native Britain. Then came his album “People Gonna Talk”, and in its wake the reviews, the airplay, the award nominations, and loads of gigs. James Hunter and his band have not only performed on their own, but have spent many years touring as the irrepressible support of such phenomenal artists as Aretha Franklin, Los Lonely Boys, Boz Scaggs, and Hunter’s very dear friend, Van Morrison. For his latest album, “The Hard Way”, James Hunter and his band drew from years of connecting on stage and brought that energy into the recording studio.  Check out this video of tight-knit crew talking about their process, and see them in a rare California appearance on our stage on July 13!
